Valid British Passport or Birth Certificate (If non-British Passport or Birth Certificate, you must provide a Residence Permit or Proof of Immigration status, i.e. Visa Document/Share Code.)

Proof of address Utility Bill/Bank Statement dated within the last three months.

Must be a Manchester resident

Must be in receipt of a benefit (i.e. UC, ESA, JSA)

Be eligible to Live / Work in UK

Be in the UK for 3+ years (or be in an eligible residency group)

Can not be in any other form of training or education7

Must be unemployed or earning less than £20,319 PA

Course Description

What is the significance of this qualification?

NCFE is an industry recognised awarding organisation that offers a wide range of qualifications. This specific qualification is perfect for adults who did not grow up with extensive exposure to digital technology and may want to acquire essential digital skills to navigate the modern world. How it works

You will spend your time in class being guided by the trainer on completing each aspect. They will help you practice your equations and writing skills and help you to gain the qualification by an online assessment. 

Learners must complete an initial Maths and English assessment to demonstrate that they are able to work at a minimum of Entry Level 3.

What does this qualification cover?

This qualification aims to:

• increase understanding of the principles of healthy eating and the role of food in maintaining health
• increase confidence in planning and achieving a healthy diet
• provide an understanding of how an individual’s dietary requirements change throughout their life
• provide an understanding of food labelling and the ability to use information from food labels
• provide information on eating disorders
• increase understanding of the role of a healthy diet for weight management
• increase understanding of the principles of food safety in a home environment.

Who is it suitable for?

This qualification is designed for a wide range of learners with some existing knowledge of this area who are interested in improving their understanding of nutrition and health.

How is this qualification structured?

The qualification is made up of six mandatory units:

• Unit 1 Understanding eating disorders
• Unit 2 Principles of healthy eating
• Unit 3 The principles of weight management
• Unit 4 Use food and nutrition information to plan a healthy diet
• Unit 5 The principles of food safety in the home environment
• Unit 6 Consider nutritional needs of a variety of individuals

The Nutritional Clinical Approach Addiction Programme

 

The Programme Includes:

Clinical addiction, substances use, impulsive repeated behaviour resulting in negative effects.

Alcohol, drugs, nicotine, food, sugars, cannabis, gambling, cocaine, amphtamines, prescription pain medication, ketamin.

 

Nutrient Deficiencies & Neurochemical Imbalances

Deficiencies associated with addiction and the resultant effects on mood, depression,

anxiety and fatigue maybe the result of ‘nutritional malnutrition’, caused by specific

addictive substances which supress appetite and disrupt regulation of the endocrine and metabolic systems.These deficiencies may result in impairment and abortion of essential ‘amino acids’, complex carbohydrates and essential fatty acids causing negative effects on cognition, moods and behaviour.

 

The programme covers:

•Addiction – hijacking the brain and the ethology of addiction •The loop – dopamine reward and the effects on the brain •Discovering the multidimensional approach

•The snowball effect (Robinson, et, al, 2013)

•Learned behaviour and essential ‘Amino Acids’– to regulate memory, learning

and behaviour

•Synthesis of reactions – the reward loop

•Addiction related multifaceted psychological conditions.

INTRODUCTION TO SCREEN ACTING

 

Three week intensive acting course  If you are considering a career in the professional performance arts world, and applying for a full-time drama school, this course will help to answer your questions. Students will experience an intensive practical introduction to the industry. Closely mirroring the work that takes place when taking a Foundation Diploma, students on this short course undertake training in acting, voice, movement, dance, improvisation, Shakespeare, modern text, improvisation, mime, a combination of styles and practitioners, acting for camera techniques, presentation, public speaking and Musical Theatre (optional). The course culminates in a public performance and all students will take away a copy of the short film they have performed in
